Little Giant Ladder Systems is showcasing the new SumoStance extension ladder, the world's only wide-stance extension ladder, at the National Safety Congress and Expo in San Diego, California, October 3-8.
SumoStance delivers safety to working professionals by tripling the base width of ordinary extension ladders and increasing side-tip stability by over 500%, resulting in a new category of extension ladders that work on nearly any uneven surface.

Little Giant designed the breakthrough innovations featured in the new SumoStance ladder to compensate for the difficult, unlevel terrain around nearly every worksite. All professionals deal with sloping sidewalks, uneven ground, ungraded new construction sites and other hazards on a daily basis. Uneven surfaces create dangerous situations that often result in accidents and lost time, and ultimately, increased insurance costs.
Such problems are overcome with the following patent-pending SumoStance innovations:
• Adjustable outriggers: SumoStance outriggers extend the base width by more than 18 inches on each side, resulting in a base that is three times wider than ordinary extension ladders.
• Level and tilt indicators: A side-to-side level and front-to-back angle indicator helps to ensure a safe ladder setup every time.
