Sellars Adds VP of National Accounts

David Hine joins Sellars from von Drehle Corp.

David Hine has joined Sellars Absorbent Materials as Vice President of National Accounts.

Sellars Absorbent Materials, a Milwaukee-based manufacturer of wipes, absorbents and towel and tissue products, has added David Hine to its sales leadership team. Hine, who spent more than 14 years with von Drehle Corporation, has joined Sellars as Vice President of National Accounts.

“Great companies are made by great people, and we are very pleased to have David join our team. We look forward to his contributions to our shared success and are fortunate to have another senior sales leader join the team,” said Tom Sellars, CEO of Sellars. “During the past year, we’ve brought over three top performers from von Drehle – Larry Cook, Paul Ihde and now David. It’s a powerhouse trio that has decades of experience in the category.”

During his time with von Drehle, Hine established the National Account Division and significantly grew topline sales, profitability and the number of large national accounts. He also worked closely with national accounts to develop new products for their private label brands.

“With the addition of David, our sales team has a roster of heavy hitters who are well known and respected in the industry,” says Larry Cook, vice president of commercial sales for Sellars. “We’re excited to continue to innovate and advance the towel and tissue category and I know David will be a valuable resource as we execute our growth and expansion plans.”

About Sellars

Sellars is a privately held, high-growth, mid-sized company with more than 200 employees. Unlike its competitors, Sellars applies its proprietary technology to make high performing products from recycled materials and, as part of its manufacturing process, recycles its own production waste to create some of its absorbents. In addition to its proprietary technology and processes, Sellars has 20 U.S. patents and 30 international patents.

Sellars’ products are used to wipe and absorb liquids on surfaces and hands in a variety of commercial, industrial and residential applications. Sellars’ shop towels can be found nationwide at a variety of retailers, including Home Depot, Lowe’s, Menards, Mills Fleet Farm, Blains Farm & Fleet, Tractor Supply, O’Reilly Auto Parts and NAPA. Sellars’ wiping products for the commercial markets are sold nationally through janitorial/sanitary, industrial, safety and specialty distributors.

This May, Sellars is launching its Bravo® kitchen towels across the country. Bravo towels, made from 90% recycled paper and boxes, offer the best overall performance compared to the leading brands.
