  • When: March 26–28, 2024

  • Info: www.masstimberconference.com

The International Mass Timber Conference, the world’s largest mass timber event, is set to launch soon — March 26-28, 2024. The conference's largest exhibit hall and hotel room blocks have sold out in record time, and registrations are higher than at this same time last year, indicating yet another impressive turnout from global mass timber experts and stakeholders. Close to 2,100 attendees from 27 countries are registered so far, with many more expected in the coming weeks.

"Every year we organize this conference with an obsession towards improving and building on past experiences so that attendees can get the most from their event marketing dollar," said International Mass Timber Conference’s president and CEO, Craig Rawlings. "Our goal is to build the best conference in the world where attendees can make and further connections, deals, and projects easier and faster than anywhere else.”

Live experiences and upgrades to this year's event include:

  • Live mass timber construction in the exhibit hall on Wednesday, March 27, and Thursday, March 28, with expert commentary and audience Q&A during the build and disassembly each day. Hosted by WoodWorks, Seagate Mass Timber, Simpson Strong-Tie, Smartlam, US Forest Service, and Softwood Lumber Board.
  • Live mass timber research in the exhibit hall, including a robotically-fabricated mass timber pavilion made from reclaimed manufacturing offcuts, with a robot arm demo; acoustic demos; forest harvesting exoskeleton and tethered logging harvesting simulator; live CLT shear block testing; and much more. Hosted by TallWood Design Institute.
  • Educational tracks with double the seating than in past years.
  • Vastly improved event layout and navigation in the convention center, creating easier access to and movement between educational tracks, the exhibit hall, dining, and other activities.
  • A dedicated educational track for developers, hosted and curated by Urban Land Institute.

And to further value, the conference continues its tradition of providing the following value-adds with registered and/or credentialed passes:

  • Complimentary breakfast and lunch served on Wednesday, March 27, and Thursday, March 28; allowing attendees to spend more time with each other instead of searching for meals each day.
  • Complimentary coffee and tea served all day in the exhibit hall on Wednesday and Thursday, giving attendees yet another way to optimize their time at the event.
  • Complimentary PDF of the annual International Mass Timber Report — fully updated and improved for 2024, including the newly revised "Mass Timber Performance Index." The 332- page report is emailed to attendees at the start of the event. A hard copy will be available at a special show rate of $89 through Amazon Print on Demand.

Attendees are expected from sectors including architecture, engineering, processing and manufacturing, development, construction, supply, forestry/forest management, and city planning, to name a few.

The conference features an optional pre-conference day of workshops and building and manufacturing tours, capped with a Welcome Reception that evening; and then two full days of exhibits, live experiences, educational presentations, and networking with mass timber industry experts from around the world.
