Atlantic Forest Products partners with James Hardie Building Products

East Coast distributor picks up James Hardie lines.

Atlantic Forest Products, a leading wholesale distributor servicing the East Coast, is now offering James Hardie siding and trim products to its customers. James Hardie Building Products is the leader in fiber cement siding and offers a diverse portfolio of lap and panel siding, shingle, trim and soffit products.

Established in 1991, Atlantic Forest Products (AFP) is a privately-owned wholesale supplier that has grown to five locations along the Eastern seaboard. The full line of James Hardie products will be available at the company’s Baltimore location for lumber yard customers in Maryland, Virginia and Delaware.

“We’re constantly working to offer the best products to the market through our dealers,” said Chris McCarthy, vice president of Atlantic Forest Products. “Partnering with the number one brand of siding in America will allow us to expand our specialty products offering and better serve our customers.”

To accommodate the extensive James Hardie product line, AFP will utilize its newest facility in Sparrows Point, Maryland. Spanning 19 acres with more than 150,000 square feet of storage capabilities and rail access, the new facility opened in January of 2017.

“AFP continues to set the standard for their customers with this new facility, and that’s why we wanted to initiate a partnership,” said Rob Reber, strategic accounts manager for James Hardie. “James Hardie and AFP share the same values of quality products and exceptional customer service.”

AFP customers can take advantage of the full line of James Hardie products available primed or in more than 25 shades of James Hardie ColorPlus® colors. When combined with the durability of James Hardie siding, ColorPlus Technology give homes an exterior that is more beautiful and lower maintenance than homes with field-applied paint. To achieve this, James Hardie utilizes a proprietary process to apply multiple coats of finish which are baked inside a climate-controlled environment to eliminate debris and optimize paint adhesion, revealing a consistent color that lasts.
