Industrial Supply provides 97,708 meals to Utah families

Company donates $25,000 to Utah Food Bank to help feed families in Utah.

Industrial Supply Company recently presented a check for $25,000 to the Utah Food Bank. The donation will provide 97,708 meals to help hungry families in Utah.

The donation is funded by sponsorships and other donations made by Industrial Supply Company’s customers and suppliers as part of their annual Charity Golf Tournament. The tournament was held August 9 at the Homestead Resort and included support from 3M, Apex, Stanley Black and Decker, Honeywell, Irwin, Knaack, and Milwaukee.

“Utah Food Bank is incredibly grateful to Industrial Supply Company for their ongoing support, including their recent donation of $25,000,” said Jim Yorgason, President & CEO of the nonprofit organization. “Utah Food Bank can stretch each $1 donated into $7.35 worth of goods and services, so this donation will have a great impact on the 423,000 Utahns struggling with hunger.”

Since 2007, Industrial Supply Company has raised $143,100 in donations, held food drives and volunteered employee time in support of the Utah Food Bank’s efforts to tackle the widespread problem of hunger in Utah.

“Making a difference in our communities is one of Industrial Supply’s core values. We’ve been helping and strengthening the community here in Utah since 1916,” said Chris Bateman, CEO of Industrial Supply. “We are proud to support the Utah Food Bank in providing critical services for Utahns struggling to feed their families. No one should have to go bed hungry.”
