HD Supply breaks ground on new headquarters

New eight-story facility in Atlanta will accommodate 500 more jobs.

HD Supply began development on its new dedicated facility in Atlanta with a groundbreaking ceremony on Monday, June 13. Local government officials and industry partners joined HD Supply’s senior leadership team to commemorate the occasion and break ground on the Leadership Development Center.

Guests of note included HD Supply Chairman and CEO Joe DeAngelo and his full senior leadership team as well as Chairman Tim Lee and District 2 Commissioner Bob Ott of the Cobb County Board of Commissioners and Deputy Commissioner Tom Croteau of the Georgia Department of Economic Development.

Representatives from HD Supply’s broker Colliers International, property landlord Greenstone Properties and building architects HLG Studio and Wakefield Beasley & Associates were also in attendance.

“The HD Supply Leadership Development Center reflects our commitment to disciplined, strategic growth for our business and our associates. This world-class headquarters will allow us to recruit and train talent and better facilitate vendor and customer interactions to ultimately drive success,” said DeAngelo. “We appreciate the City of Atlanta’s and Cobb County’s continued support of HD Supply and look forward to further establishing our roots within the community.”

The Leadership Development Center, set to debut in early 2018, will serve as a world-class facility, complete with a leader training and customer support center. Nearly 900 associates will be based in the eight-story, 222,500-square- foot building.

The Leadership Development Center will be located at 3400 Cumberland Boulevard Atlanta, GA 30339. For more information about HD Supply, visit www.hdsupply.com
