IDG Acquires Tommy White Supply and Duncan Industrial

Acquisitions strengthen IDG in the South and Midwest.

Industrial Distribution Group, Inc. (“IDG”), a leading provider of maintenance, repair, operations and production (“MROP”) products and integrated supply solutions to diverse end markets, announced that it has completed the acquisitions of Tommy White Supply Co. (“TWS”) and the Industrial Division of Duncan Co. (“Duncan Industrial”).

Headquartered in Midland, Texas, TWS is a leading provider of supplies, services and equipment to customers in high growth energy markets. With a strong commitment to product application support, including a wellhead shop and two dedicated pump shops, TWS is recognized as a trusted partner to leading energy firms in the Permian Basin, one of the most active oil and natural gas producing regions in North America.

With this acquisition, IDG adds an industry-leading team of technical product experts and extends its capabilities for serving customers in the energy market. The existing management team will continue to lead TWS operations within IDG.

Headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Duncan Industrial distributes a broad range of industrial supplies, including cutting tools, abrasives and metal removal products. Through this acquisition, IDG strengthens its position in the Upper Midwest. Duncan Co. will retain its Flow Control business, which will continue to operate as Duncan Co.

Charles Lingenfelter, IDG’s President and Chief Executive Officer, commented, “We are excited to welcome the TWS and Duncan Industrial teams to the IDG family, and we look forward to their contributions as we continue to expand our growing market position. I am confident that, through our shared core values, we will deliver to our customers even broader capabilities and enhanced service. With these transactions, IDG has completed six acquisitions since 2010, each strengthening the company’s portfolio of products and solutions.”
