Rockler Wins Innov8 Award
Wood Magazine award picks eight top products each year.
Rockler Woodworking and Hardware has just been awarded an Innov8 Award from Wood Magazine for Mixing Mate. It marks the third honor given for Mixing Mate, joining This Old House Top 100 and Handy Innovation awards.
Mixing Mate is an all-in-one solution for mixing, pouring, and storage of paint and finish in quart or gallon sized cans.
Each year the editors of Wood Magazine select eight top woodworking innovations to receive the Innov8 Awards, and Mixing Mate is one of those eight products for 2013.
Mixing Mate features four cam locks that lock to the edges of the can, creating a tight seal to eliminate spills. After the lid is locked, the user simply cranks the handle for approximately 30 seconds in the clockwise direction to completely mix the product. The side handle is sturdy and easy to grip, while the spring-loaded thumb trigger opens the pour spout, similar to the function of a maple syrup dispenser. Users can then pour the amount they need and Mixing Mate will keep the product sealed until it is needed again. Mixing Mate can be re-used or transferred to other paint and finish cans.
