Bullard Abrasives Acquires Marvel Abrasive Products
Deal broadens Bullard's product portfolio for the welding, construction, and fabricating industries.
Bullard Abrasives, a leading United States manufacturer of branded and private label resin bonded cutting and grinding wheels since 1927, is announcing the acquisition of Marvel Abrasive Products, of Chicago, IL. Marvel Abrasive Products, originally established in 1936 as Bates Abrasive Products, is also one of the top manufacturers of resin fiber discs and quick-change discs in the United States. Marvel most recently has
incorporated the latest in laser-cutting technology and has integrated “super-sized “resin technology into their line of resin fiber discs and launched two new ceramic-based fiber disc forms.
“This acquisition will continue to expand the United States manufacturing capabilities of Bullard Abrasives,” said Craig Pickell, President of Bullard. “Marvel is a well respected name in the industry and this move broadens our portfolio of products in the welding, construction, and fabricating industries,” he added.

Marvel will now operate as Marvel Abrasives Products, llc and will remain headquartered in Chicago IL. Products will continue to be sold under both the Bullard and Marvel labels.
