Ideal Appoints New Director of Sales & Marketing
Richard Jones named to key position for U.S. business unit.
IDEAL Industries, Inc., one of the world's largest manufacturers and suppliers of quality tools, connectors, and testing products for the electrical and data communications markets, announced today the appointment of Richard Jones to Director of Sales & Marketing, Networks US for the company's Networks & Test Business Unit.
Mr. Jones will report directly to Jason Butchko, VP/GM of IDEAL Networks & Test and be responsible for sales and marketing activities within the United States. He starts immediately and will be based at IDEAL Networks & Test headquarters in San Diego, CA.
Mr. Jones brings to his new position a wealth of industry experience and expertise in growing domestic/global markets, sales and channel management, and business development. This background will prove valuable as IDEAL adds a new Networks Sales Channel and transitions its brand to IDEAL INDUSTRIES Networks over the coming year.
Most recently, Mr. Jones headed up Datacom Standards Consulting. Prior to that, he spent 18 years at Chatsworth Products, Inc (CPI), a global manufacturer providing voice, data, security products and services that optimize, store, and secure technology equipment. During his tenure, he served in multiple positions, but most notably, led the sales and marketing efforts as the company grew from $10M to more than $100M over a 10-year period.
Mr. Jones is an active member of several industry groups and participates on standards subcommittees for BICSI, TIA, ASHRAE, and IEEE.
Mr. Jones earned an MBA from California Lutheran University and a BS in Engineering from California State University Northridge.
