Wells Fargo Releases Q2 Construction Quarterly Report
Equipment sales are up; Highway and street construction show signs of improving.
Many major construction equipment manufacturers are reporting significant year-over-year improvements in equipment sales. Much of the demand is international but equipment sales are also improving here in the U.S.
While other categories of construction spending continue to slump, Highway & Street Construction spending showed small signs of improving. In both February and March 2011, the category grew month-to-month and about 5% from the year previous.
